Agreed - this is a good deal from a good dude to deal with.  I just wish that I had some spare cash to spend.  :(

Decided to try him again myself, since I remember he made right with Black Tiger. Everybody deserves a second chance so I ordered Crest of Wolf,R-Type Complete,Strider,Hellfire S,Fatal Fury Special, and Art of Fighting from him. Racked up over $150 in goods from him on ebay, but I am sure it will be worth it to see my son play through Crest of Wolf and try out Hellfire S,R-Type Complete, and Strider. Also won a auction for around $90 that had these in it pretty much all complete:
DRAGON SPIRIT,HUDSON'S NEW ADVENTURE ISLAND,FINAL SOLDIER,SHINOBI,ADVENTURE ISLAND,SUSA NO OU DENSETSU,NECROMANCER,CHIKUDENYA TOBE,R-TYPE I,R-TYPE II,PC GENJIN (BONK'S ADVENTURE),LEGENDARY AXE,POWER DRIFT,TIGER ROAD,HEAVY UNIT,TATSUNOKO (DRAGON) FIGHTER,GAI FLAME ,and XD SERD .

The seller said he also tossed in 2 copies of Rastan 2 and a Deep Blue for free so we are going to have doubles of a couple of games for sure.
Good times to be had this winter with the kids. Now I just need to pick up extra pads and a 5 player tap sometime soon for Splash Lake and Bomber Man 94.

Anyway, back to the heart of the thread, thats a awesome price for that title, and when the stuff I ordered arrived Ill give a bump+good word here for sure if the thread is still active.

I bought the game from him.

I've never bought anything on eBay from him, but he has some decent prices. I give him +5 respect points for being one of the only (maybe THE only?) store seller that has shown up on here, especially back when one member had an issue. It seemed to me he tried to address it as professionally as possible.

That douchebag Game_squad on the other hand, needs to be boycotted.

I dunno about his history, because I don't know the man, but anybody selling Steam Hearts is a hero in my book. ^_^

I've exceeded my "game budget" with this, but a deal like this doesn't come along every day.

You're not kidding.  I don't think we'll see it available for this low a price again for a very long time.  I'd have picked it up myself if I didn't already own it.  I'm glad the person who did get it is someone who'll actually play it and not just treat it as a collection piece.

Yeah, it's been on my "wanted" list for a long time.

I just re-read your mini review, and I'm a bit disappointed the graphics are so mediocre. Hopefully the gameplay will do enough to make up for it.

^ I wonder if he realizes that I just intended to show the pictures and that posting the one link is a lot easier and less bandwidth consuming than posting 7 pictures and that I don't give a shit about the review because I make my own reviews because it's what Mr T would do.

No,Mr.t would drink some spiked milk, get lured on a helicopter by a gang of gay white militant guys, gang raped, then tossed out only to wake up while in free fall wondering what happened when he was promised he would be shown the world....

The PC98 and Saturn graphics look OK.

The PCE graphics look..... mediocre.

So in other words, not much worse/better? :D

They look a little worse. Plus it seems the PCE version for some reason has a ridiculous side bar occupying 30% of the screen.

Careful you're in the territory where you might accidentally diss Raiden.

I'm kinda on the fence in regards to the whole sidebar thing. Having the sidebar means that the gameplay section of the screen is actually like in the arcades. Nexzr Special (maybe Nexzr does as well) has an option that allows you to play either with the screen stretched or "arcade mode". I prefer 'arcade mode', but I'll need to get a bigger TV or an RGB mod because it's a little awkward on my already small screen. It would be cool Steam-Hearts allowed you to choose whether or not you want the sidebar.

So as long as the sidebar isn't extremely distracting (i.e. Raiden Jag  :x hehe) then I can live with it.

But Steam-Hearts looks pretty neat. The game doesn't seem to get many good reviews, especially the PCE version. Whatever, I like shmups and hentia.  8) Too bad the PCE got censored.  :(

I don't think the PCE is that tame it shows a good bit.

Nothing realy raunchy it's all most like soft-porn if ya wanna know.

I have it for my pce and i see it as a decent shmup for the console.

Now the saturn version is realy censored compare to the pce version.

Got the game a few days ago. Quick shipping, great service. The game looks brand new, just missing the shrinkwrap. A steal of a deal for $65.

First impressions of the game.... I really like the music. The graphics aren't quite as bad as I thought they'd be. The backgrounds are a little uninspired, but the sprites look fine and are nicely shaded. The sidebar grew on me while I played, especially after a user here commented that it makes the viewing area narrower, like an arcade. But did it really have to take up 1/3 of the screen?

So far, it seems like a pretty solid shooter. Nothing extraordinary, but good. I only got to stage 3 or 4 when I played (only once as of yet), but it's definitely one I'll pick up and play again. Runinruder wasn't kidding when he said the characters blather on (and on and on and on) while you stare a still screenshot for minutes on end.

Its to keep the aspect ratio of "real" vertical shooters.

I think I would've prefered "dual sidebars" so the screen was more centered and symmetric. I think the best choice would've been no bars and a centered vertical screen like the arcade mode in Soldier Blade.
