Abobo's Big Adventure I would buy in cart form, and keep. I will give DDII another shot before it goes on to the trade pile.

I'm not quite sure if I'll ever want to repurchase such gems as Bo Jackson Baseball, Palamedes or Shingen the Ruler ever again.

I'm not sure why you'd want to purchase them the first time, and yet here we are.

I loved Bo Jackson Baseball.  It was the NES version of what TG16's TV SPORTS Baseball would have been (cinemaware's amiga baseball game).  It was fun and had great graphics considering it was NES.

Can I get a show of hands from everyone here who owns or has owned a TV SPORTS game on the TG16?

If you didn't raise your hand, then proceed to bash Desh with the peace of mind that you are not being hypocritical.

Sadly, I owned and played all of them, even though I'm not a big sports fan.

Defender of the down trodden strikes again!!!

I'm not bashing Desh, as it's entirely possible (even likely, given the track record of people around here) that he'll change his mind and one day decide to amass a complete collection again.

Meh, most of the shear crap was stuff I picked up over the years for .50 to $1.00.  At that point it was the Pokemon mindset.  Gotta catch em' all.  With years comes wisdom and I can appreciate quality instead of quantity.

I also have a couple T.V. Sports games.  I actually think Hockey is half way decent.  The football game is terrible, even for the time

Dude... I stick my neck out for you and then you go and bash TV SPORTS Football? I love TV SPORTS Football...

I retract my former statement. Necro, you have my blessing to give this a$$hole the standard crass berating that you give everyone else.

I like TV SPORTS Football way more than Basketball, I'll tell you that much.

Only cavet id throw in is this.

If you sell off the usless NES games ask yourself this.

Will you ever attempt to complete a US NES library?

If you answer is yes then it probably isn't worth it to sell off something you'll just attempt all over again.

You guys just mentioned Bo Jackson baseball and the menu song is playing in my head. I also remember the (exaggerated) umpire calls. T rike! you're out!

The NES was home to many memorable baseball games. Bases Loaded 2 is my all time favorite (yup, it's true), but I also have fond memories of Bo Jackson, the RBI series and Bad News Baseball, especially when playing against someone else.

back to the OP subject. It's something to think about. My only reasons to "go nuclear" would be either a) I need the $ or b) I need the space and the items are not that worthy to me.

If it holds up, its a keeper. If not, its a sell/trade. We just played Double Dragon II tonight. It's a sell...  :(

BLASPHEMY! My little Double Dragon fan boy heart just shattered. . .

Double Dragon 3 was the only one of those I liked. They were too primitive in 1 and 2. That and too hard to be enjoyable. I was always more of a Streets of Rage or TMNT 3 kind of guy if I'm going for a side scrolling beat 'em up.

Glad to see someone giving DDIII some love and not the typical AVGN hatred. Although I do wonder how one finds the difficulty curve in DDI and II too difficult, but not III?

Double Dragon and its sequel on NES are total KEEPERS!

For your blasphemy, I must sic ABOBO on both of you.

YES!!!

Not just any Abobo, but GREEN Abobo!!!

And my little Double Dragon fan boy heart has repaired itself whole

Option A is spot on. Money issues suck. I had to sell my overdrive, a decent amount of games, and about 2/3s of my comic book collection this past summer to stay afloat.

Option B is spot on. Unless room and space are endless commodities in your life, there's little sense in keeping games that you (a) don't like, and (b) you're never going to play again.

The TV Sports series value lies only in a complete library or a collection headed that way. They are ass-crap at its finest.

Give'em some time, learn the mechanics, and you'll have a good time.

Not Tecmo Bowl, NHL 94, or NBA Jam fun, but fun none the less

For me it was more option B.  However the proceeds from this stuff will allow me to purchase more obey items I want.
