I gots a busted Vita. Ideas?

So a buddy gave me an OLED white vita that won't turn on.
I'd really like to fix it, but I've not fixed one before.
any clues on what I should check out?

anything helps at this point, I've not messed with the actual vita before.

This shocks me as well.  I was really into vita and then lost interest in it.  I really should get rid of it.

The Vita has given me maybe... six or seven really great gaming experiences. Other than that it just sits there. It's not unlike a modern Nintendo machine in that way...

Overall though I would have been happier to just have them keep supporting the PSP since that's essentially all the Vita was; a requirement that you buy a new PSP in order to keep playing the same exact sorts of games games. Sure it's more powerful than the PSP, but the PSP was still the flashiest thing out there before the Vita launch. It would still be if the Vita were never made. They were only outdoing themselves at that point. Sometimes designing the best system out there is just a stupid thing to do.

That screen...man, it impresses me every time.

I like the vita.  There is quite an active vita following out there.  I subscribe to two vita-centered youtube channels that usually post videos once a week.  There is also the Vitacast podcast that usually has a new episode once a week as well.

2016 is still quite an active year of releases for the system.  Odin Sphere comes out next week and there are still quite a few more physical releases due between now and the end of the year.  Gamestop.com has a much of them listed and vitalounge.net is always showing something new for the system.  There are a lot of indie-download only titles available as well.  Axiom Virge was recently released digitally and it plays like the original Metroid on steroids.

I think there are more physical releases slated for the Vita right now than the Wii U.

The Vita is such a f*cking cool piece of hardware.  But it just doesn't have enough games that I can't play elsewhere.  I still have my Vita, but can't remember the last time that I turned it on.

Well, you'll never enjoy playing it if you don't turn it on. That's just common sense.

Mine often sits for months at a time, then it's all I play for months, back and forth. Probably about nine off, three on.

My most favorite release recently is Oh Deer!  I tried to get into this Arcanna Heart game I got but holy shit it loads worse than Street Fighter Alpha on PS1. It's ridiculous.
