Caution: ebay seller geengi

Okay...this seller was recommended by vestcoat, but they failed to actually ship me the item I won. My money was refunded. They said they'd send me the game if they ever found it, and the issue was dropped. However, I just got a message from them:

If you leave us positive feedback we will do the same! we sent turbo grafx game

This is a bit fishy. First of all, wouldn't they be asking for payment for the game, rather than feedback? And second of all, why didn't they contact me prior to this about the game before sending it...if that's truly what they did? So, I sent them a response:

You sent the game? That means you found it in one of your stores? Unfortunately, without any way of knowing this, I cannot leave any feedback, and furthermore, my payment was already refunded, so I find it a little strange that you're asking for feedback rather than payment. If this item was indeed sent, I will remit payment and leave positive feedback, but without knowing the item in question is heading my way, I unfortunately can't do either at the moment. Furthermore, feedback is supposed to be left honestly; it's not supposed to be a "reward system". Someone already left me retaliatory feedback after I left them a *positive* but with honest feedback about the condition of the item they sold (they said it was mint CIB, and it was neither). So now, I leave no feedback for anyone until they leave feedback based on my part of the deal. I certainly understand the need for positive feedback, as it's the heart of the ebay system, but I can't be dishonest just to get a positive myself.

Now, vestcoat swears by these guys, but my recommendation for anyone who deals with them is to make sure they have the item in stock beforehand so you don't run into this issue with them.

Yeah, that's really weird. I feel like I've been lucky so far with eBay hearing stories like this.

Yuck, I'm sorry to hear about the fishy deal.

Now, vestcoat swears by these guys...

Swears is a strong word, I simply purchased two games from them at a great price without a hitch
