Does it really matter that they're finally buying 'em out entirely, when everything that Hudson has done for the past few years has been at the behest of Konami anyway?  The only thing that would suck is if they stop using the Hudson name; it's just a name though - I'm sure they'll keep cranking out the same games.

True, but they haven't done much all that great since the PCE.  For the most part, they've been dead to me for years anyway.

If they kill the bee, we will wage war on Konami.  I'll have snake bent over a table, and show him whos boss.

and after that, oh yeah, we will wage war I guess.

I feel how Tats feels.  I've always have been fond of hudsun but over the years I haven't much cared for what has been put out by them.  I will always cherish what they have brought us over the years during the 8 and 16-bit days.  Now I could give two shits about Konami now.  When has Konami themselves actually "developed" a really amazing game in the past couple years?  Konami is really just a publisher now.  Everything is outsourced to other Dev companies.  Times have changed and not for the better.

If it were not for the fact that Hudson was already a subsidiary of Konami, I would have breathed a deeper sigh of resignation.

Lord knows why, but Hudson has been promoting the heck out of the god-awful garbage (such as DECA SPORTS, and if you think that's bad, the Japanese catalog is even more cringe-worthy...). I suppose they make money on it. And I suppose certain types of games work better with the audiences they are targeting (casual, mobile/handheld, young girls, etc. etc.).

I'll take BLOODY ROAR over DECA SPORTS any day of the year... well, hmmmm, maybe not.

Heh, yeah, Bloody Roar seemed like an abomination onto Meijin at the time, but now I'd love to see them make something that was only that bad instead of stuff that is at least as bad but only 1/10 as charismatic.

The first Bloody Roar wasn't all that bad, compared to the other bottom-feeder 3D fighters from that era.  Stunning endorsement, I know, but it had some decent ideas and nice music.  That's more than I could say for Rengoku.
