SNES Falcon prototype
« on: July 16, 2012, 07:00:03 PM »
Falcon SNES prototype was recently bought at auction, and released to the fan community by the new owner.

There's not much of a playable game here, but hey, it's Falcon. I tried it, but couldn't figure out much to do beyond what is shown in the video on youtube. I'd say the Turbo one has a slight edge here, due this one being unfinished. I'm liking that smooth scrolling though.

Spread the crap to other consoles!  Why is it that wikipedia and gaming sites neglect to mention the Turbob version in their Falcon series articles?  I know it's bad, but is it that much worse than the others?

I've still never played Falcon on TG-16. I find it puzzling that everyone hates it so much. For Amiga, Mac, and DOS Falcon was THE game so either the TG-16 port is garbage for some reason, or TG-16 fans don't know shit about combat flight simulators (from 25 years ago).

Granted, a lack of keyboard will make control difficult, but it seems like you could still make it work.

The problem with TG16 Falcon is that it runs at about 1 frame per second...

And that's somehow atypical for 80s flight sims?

Challenge: play Falcon for 2 solid hours. DOS or TG16.
