I'm 15 pages in and it is an effortless read. I will be finishing this because the author has some charm and delivers the narrative sincerely. He is providing just enough context (historical and otherwise) to better appreciate the path he forged (mixed metaphor?) in the late 70's/80's.

He states that he will first delve into his experiences porting RAMPAGE (!!) before getting into R-Type, and all I can say is AWESOME.

I encourage everyone to get this and read it on their phone/tablet/what-have-you.

already DLd previously and read some chapters. even it's just about that r-type port i haven't and also will never play, it's still fresh to read from the autors point of view.

Agreed—it's fun to read, even if I never play the Jupiter Ace port he crafted (j/k, I just wanted to drop a random "Jupiter Ace" reference since I never knew about it before).
