Haha I remember that game, I can't think of the name either but I used to play it all the time back when I was really young.  The smiley face thing was ridiculous, didn't something come and attack you if you spent too long in each room?

A couple of consoles forgotten about from that era...the RCA Studio II and the Milton-Bradley Microvision! :D

Keranu, the game you're thinking of might be "Munchkin" but I'm not sure.

Venture? http://www.mobygames.com/game/colecovision/venture/screenshots

Oh man!  I loved this game back in the day!  I had a Colecovision and thought it was the best system back then.  Lots of arcade ports that were actually good!  :)

I think Venture was the second game I got on Coleco (Donkey Kong being first since it was the pack in).  Man, now I'm starting to remember all those Coleco games I used to play...
Victory
Slither
Miner 2049er
Ladybug
Mouse Trap
Zaxxon (surprisingly good port... at least that's how I remember it. :))
Mr. Do
Turbo
Tarzan (fun game, but short)

Good times...

Zaxxon for the Coleco still is. I still like playing that port.

YES, that's the game! Man what a sweet game that was and to think it was made all the way back in 1982. It practically blowz Zelda out of the water  .

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

It definitely blows Zelda III out of the water.

Venture was on 2600,Intelivision,and Coleco. Just looked best on Coleco, not that thast saying much,as it looked like it utilized nothing the Coleco had to offer hardware wise.
