Only if you can reverse engineer Blast Processing.

It's actually REALLY simple, you might need to fullscreen your browser though:

OK being serious now... the jacks shouldn't "wear out" no matter if they are gold, silver or aluminum.  Also, unless you used gold plated solder and wire internally straight from the video chip (which would need gold plated legs for you to tap the signal from), it's all for naught as if it ain't gold, it's shit (kidding about that part, of course).  I am a video quality whore, and I've never noticed an onscreen difference between silver RCA jacks and gold ones.  I don't buy into the whole Monster Cableā„¢ gold plated evaporated etc etc nonsense.  I'm sure it does help the signal in some small way over really long runs, though.

The aluminum or tin ones you are referring to do wear out easier on the inner insert inside the jack over time. The standard tin ones also do not mount as nicely either as the gold ones I use from Parts Express. I never said the gold ones had produced better image quality, but they do hold up longer then tin based jacks if you are using thicker ended gold plated cables and changing the cables out alot. The jacks I use are heavy duty, and are alot thicker. Yea,you will pay a tad more, but its worth it in durability. I will use tin at the customers request however. I always leave this up to them. They pay for the parts, not me.

Blast Processing

I don't think I've seen so many Internet cliches in one image before.  Impressive!
