Bandai's best console
« on: May 02, 2007, 05:09:29 PM »
I can't believe you guys have overlooked Bandai

* Disclaimer: The WonderSwan is not a console
** Disclaimer: Unlike the other polls, this is indeed a valid option!

Pippin Atmark because it's the best console ever made!

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

I like my wonderswan, in fact I don't own any other handhelds (did own a PSP and DS but got bored with them and sold 'em). Wonderswan is such a good console to collect for with the amount of variations, and the fact they're nice and cheap. Gunpey is probably my favourite handheld game ever.

Don't own a Pippin (although If I had the money I'd get one) and I'm not sure I like the idea of the Playdia (Hentai on a kids console?)

Bandai has never never made a good console

I don't think I need to explain myself this time.

Well.

"Playdia" reminds me of "Blodia," which is a PC Engine game (albeit a bad one).  So I'll vote for that.

The Pippin was an overpriced and underpowered pile of Apple garbage.  I refuse to lay that piece of shit at Bandai's feet.  Apple alone is to be blamed for this failure.

The Playdia is akin to taking a PC-FX and removing anything that resembles actual gameplay.  Is it a gaming console, or is it something like a really shitty DVD player?

While the WonderSwan isn't exactly a console, it's still a damn fine little handheld.  I give it a bonus point (and my vote) just for its NEC processor.

I have a couple of 'Swans and a dozen or so games. Its fun, but if you don't like anime stuff its probably not for you.

Wonderswan, no problem. Unless the Pippin has some pre-VII FF ports I don't know about.

Playdia, simply because it basically = 2 XBOX 360's worth of power. It can even emulate Blast Processing!

Seriously, I voted for the Pippin, because it looks like a cute little toaster.
