US Turbo Tap on JP PCE Duo?

Will a US 5 player Turbo Tap work on a Japanese PC Engine Duo?

Uh, no it won't work.  A US Duo Tap will work on any PC Engine system (mini DIN-8), but a US Turbo Tap is for the TG-16 only (DIN-8).

The Turbo Tap for the TG 16 won't work on the Japanese systems. But the Duo Tap will work. Don't get a Turbo Tap.

Just remember that the white duo tap works, the black turbo tap doesn't. The TG 16 has larger ports.

hehe. It's amazing we all somehow keep up with all the NEC hardware and compatibility. But this site has a great compatibility guide.

I'm glad i never mess getting a,TG16 again in the frist place.

It's easier sticking with a pce since ya can use it's controllers on a duo etc.

Ok, thanks for all the help.  I was hoping I could pick up a US Turbo Tap because it would match the color of my PC Engine Duo, but I guess I can't do that.

If you really want black, you could swap the cable on a TurboTap to have it work on a Duo, but then you'd need to swap cables on your controllers or buy TG-16 controllers.

If i remember right,TZD use to sell adapters for that but not any more for some reason.
