Davy was my wifes favorite Monkee, She grew up in the 80s loving him. I guess you could say it was her first teenage idol.

(Some) of us are getting too old. I watched the TV show when I was a kid.

I used to tell my daughter that the Jonas Brothers TV show (first incarnation) was simply The Monkees TV Show. I never did play an episode of the TV show for her, though.

I am into punk rock, and the same thing happened to me a few years back...

Joe Strummer, Joey Ramone, Johnny Ramone, Dee Dee Ramone, all RIP.

It is sad when someone you like passes away, because the first thought that goes through your mind is "wish I saw them more when I had the chance."
