Well, given that Makaimura literally means something like hell village, or hellish village, and you're talking about a city, even a world being invaded, I'm not sure that term is appropriate. You could try something like Makai sekai which would be more like hell world.

I think my preference would be for something a little more crazy. You are going to make a cute run n' gun, right?

I will have to check out that version of Splatterhouse, thanks!

Kinda sorta on the syd of valis. I've got quite a few games inspiring me right now, but yeah you got the general idea.
