Gravity Rush and Ragnarok Odyssey

You aint playing those on your douchePhone5

Not being able to use sticks and buttons was a real eye opener for me...  Touch screen "joysticks" suck.

It's a pain for sure. Ya gotta remap your fingers from years of regular control pad training.

Games I play on my DouchePhone 4:

Calendar
Phone
Netflix
Harry's Lap Timer
Facebook
Messages
Clock
Safari (sounds like a game, but isn't)

The Vita is a better game platform than a phone...not much of an achievement. .

You'd be surprised how many people get the iPhone and load it with games and never actually take calls on it...

3 of my friends do this.  One of them forgot the phone number for the thing, that's how often he uses it for calls.

Plus, theres enough games for it that it might as well be considered a portable game device.

It is a portable gaming device, as well as a communication device. The issue is that the media tries to spin it as the current video game system killer. It is not, it is simply just another way to experience certain kinds of games.

I'm still undecided on the vita or the new 3DS XL.  The only reason I would get the 3DS over the Vita is for the Nintendo franchises. The Vita in specs and graphics quality beat the crap of out the 3DS and bonus for having a PS3 already, psx/psp games PSN games. Not a bad deal...hmmm

There's also talk of a price drop after xmas for the vita.  It's just right now there isn't much for games.  After the Tokyo Game Show though quite a bit is coming out down the road.  There's still not an amazing 3rd party support for it though.  Also if you don't own a psp it's nice to get a vita and be able to do both.  The past couple days have been fairly exciting with the kernal exploit for the psp emulator.  Sadly you have to have dled the game for it before it got pulled from psn.  There is also a UV Loader in the works which will allow user mode access for the vita.  That's what I'm waiting for.
