How many consoles has the original been released on? Too many to count. For $6.99, you can grab it now on the Google Play Store! From the screenshots, it looks like it is a port of the PSP version. I played that one and thought it was too flashy (as in the animation looks like a flash animation).

My favorite version is for Wonderswan. Massively updated graphics but everything else, including the spell system, is the same as the FC version.

My favorite was the PS1 remake.  the tunes were obviously Enix'd a bit.

i actually liked the psp remake.  Looks like it's the same thing as the psp version.

Love the NES original, beat it several times growing up.

I already have it on my phone though, rom style.
