So I've got this PC Engine Duo and when it arrived the board had bad caps. Re-capped everything, sound works 100%, but the CD drive is driving me crazy.. Basically, the CD Drive will work once a day. When it works, it will work 100%, but if you stop the game and try to restart it or change the disk - it won't go again that day. Also, its much more likely to work when the unit is cold. Now, I've tried the pot tuning, which didn't help. I've also now tried 3 other brand new lasers from 3 different suppliers (one of them was Switch), all which do the same thing. I've inspected the board and can't find any further sign of corrosion or damage anywhere at all. I've since brought a Duo-R which works 100% and I've put the Duo on the shelf as a spare Hu player, or a rather nice ornament...But it's still erk'ing me a bit wondering what could be wrong with this Duo... Anyone have any suggestions?
