I think today this thread should be called, by what game are you flat dominated? -> almost every..lol.

But I was really good at Monster mauler (kyukyoku sentai dadandarn ), sourcer striker (mahou daisakusen) & midnight wanderers (Roosters) as well some classic SFII back in the arcade and later at homey. all have uncountable 1lc.

Around where I am at now, it seems that everyone is saying I am the SVC Chaos guy. Hopefully that holds up when we hold the planned barracks fighter tourney that is upcoming :D

Back in the day my girlfriend and I played Tetris Attack a great deal, and no that's not a euphemism.

The year before last when I went to the game show in Cleveland I was thrilled to see they were running a Tetris Attack tournament! However they way they did it was...stupid. They had you play Endless mode with some specific settings and going until you died and comparing scores. The only way I could imagine for this making sense to anyone in any way when there is a PERFECTLY FUNCTIONAL VERSUS MODE in the game was that some weird dude in the area wanted to see how everyone else was at playing this great game in a f*cked up way.

When I went to play I got crushed by not just one guy who had mastered this bizarre mode of play, but by all his friends too, all of whom evidently think that a great way to have a tournament is to have a mob of people stand around watching someone play a 1 player game.

The actual game of Tetris Attack is very very good. Its super strategic and also reflexive. The music is terrific and the graphics are great. It was a perfect send off for the SNES (I think its US only) before Nintendo descended into a pit of blurry foggy polygonal mediocrity that they still haven't quite recovered from. IMO the only versus puzzle game that is better (or maybe equally as good and not actually better) is Puyo Puyo Tsu.

I have Panel de Pon on the GC Nintendo Puzzle Collection, and its the same game-playwise, but the graphics and sounds on the SNES...I have to have them. I also have Pokemon Puzzle League for GB and, same thing, without the beautiful graphics its just not the same.

As with Street Fighter, Starcraft, etc I've pretty much only played it in VS mode.

I've got quite a few variations. GameBoy Tetris Attack. Pokemon Puzzle League on GameBoy and N64, the aforementioned import only Puzzle Collection. What the game will accept as a combo, timing and a few other things vary from version to version. My favorite is still SNES Tetris Attack.

Why they would have a tournament of a two player game using high scores from a one player mode is just ridiculous to me.

Definitely my favorite puzzle game. There have been a few clone games but they lack in the music or character department.
That is ridiculous about the tournament...the competitive factor in the game lies in versus mode.

I was going to say SF II' CE, but it seems like a whole lot of other people are, too. So... anybody wanna settle this?

I guess I could also say I'm pretty dang good at Tetris. I'm the local champion here in Abilene, TX. That tournament, too was held in the single player format, but it actually made a bit more sense. It was held over the course of a month. You'd pay the entry few whenever you wanted to make another attempt. And the person with the highest score at the end of the month won.

'Course I haven't played in a while, so one of you could probably beat me out of pure rusty-ness. :P

I completely forgot about Ace Combat.... even on expert its just not hard enough for me.  It becomes a challenge of "can I destroy every last target on a map?"

I almost 1cc'd metal slug 3 the other day, got to the section with the doors where you have to shoot the 3 dots before i messed up; had to continue like 3 times after that.

i'm pretty boss at streets of rage 2 and 3 as well, i can 1cc those with decent consistency

as for multiplayer stuff, my cousins and I go nuts for some War of the Monsters and Spawn: In the Demon's Hand.  Spend hours rocking that noise.

...oh, and I'm pretty boss at elmo's number journey.

Is it just me, or is Streets of Rage 2 a whole lot easier than 3?

up for debate; but i will say that 2 is definitely easier, i can pretty much chain max's grabs through the whole game.

Oh man! I totally forgot about SOR2! I wouldn't say that's one I flat out dominate, but I just love playing it. Probably my favorite on the Sega Genesis. So much so that aside from the original cartridge, I own it on WiiVC, XBLA, and iOS, just so I can play it wherever, whenever.  8)
