It's a shame it's happening but i wasn't expecting it to last forever either. It cost money to run it,so i'm not surprised by this.To bad what games that use online play, couldn't be run through a private server like what pso is.

PSN:MrNeoGeo
Wii U:Progearspec

Thats pretty lame. Maybe if enough people make a fuss about it, they will push out the date. i know they did this with demon's souls. But Im sure its way more expensive to keep these Wii servers up and running

Suddenly? The first wave of decline on Wii online activities started in June 2013. Nobody who stays tuned to Videogame news channels should be surprised at all. The Wii mini, which was released that time around did not even supported online connectivity.

At least the Virtual console and Wii Ware shop should be around for some time. So get your hands on some inexpensive TG-16 titles while you have the chance. And don't forget about the Konami Rebirth trilogy games: Contra Rebirth, Castlevania Rebirth and Gradius Rebirth are exclusive to the Wii... and awesome.

They're already pretty dirt cheap. I've seen them for sale with a regular wiimote for 30-50.00 used

Well, for those of you who were moaning about the Wii servers going offline, there's good news.

ngevan2k from Sufami.org has started decyrpting the Wii's server communication code and eventually managed to create private servers for Monster Hunter Tri.
If there are enough kind people to assist him, I'm sure we all will be able to continue playing Wii games online in the future.

So guys, quit the pathetic whining and help that good bloke, will you?

So guys, this is awesome and let's all get a smoothie!

Fixed the ending.

But yeah, that's exactly what I was talking about. Community solutions ftw!
