Necro-bump.

Just bought this game today on the Wii U for $20. Like many here, I don't care for digital copies. So, I got the physical disc new. I think the last game I bought brand new was Soul Calibur III for PS2. Anyway, I'm loving the game. It just feels so well-made.

Also, what happened to GreatBlueSwirl? I miss him. Well, maybe not him, but his comments were always good for a laugh.
Played it's co-op mode ? I've heard the shovel knight amiibo will unlock it.

I got this for Wii U as well and picked up an Amiibro.  It's definitely fun, I just wish I had more time to soak into it.

Since they don't think it's worth the effort, I'd love to see Limited Run Games pick up Shovel Knight for a Vita run.

I bought this last year on a humble bundle. It's definitely top shelf gaming.

I haven't bought any amiibo's yet, but I am considering buying this one for the extra content. I also read that the box for it is shaped in such a way as to allow scanning through the package.

Everyone says how it feels like an NES games. That seems unfair as there are so many terrible and unfair NES games in its library. I'd say it's more like an old Capcom game. Controls are tight and difficulty is average. There's even a boss at the end of each level.
Arkhan: Im not butthurt by your enjoyment.  Im buttglad.

From the LRG forums:

LimitedRunJosh: "Hoping some more announcements come down the line soon. We have three games in QA with Sony right now and over 25 releases slated."

Hopefully that's one of them.

That would be awesome, I picked up Saturday Morning RPG(Vita) from them, though was only able to nab the regular edition.  I was thinking of getting one with the soundtrack since it was done by Vince DiCola ala Transformers the Movie!

Sounds like they are doing Cosmic Star Heroine, I've been waiting for that one.  Influenced by Phantasy Star, Chrono Trigger, & Suikoden(my personal fav).

Me too. Sad thing is that, apparently, the soundtrack CD was sold on the bandcamp page as well for a little bit, but by the time I realized it, was gone. </3

It wasn't really a special limited package, the soundtrack was just another item that went in your package, it's sealed but still separate from the actual game.

I know, was just stating that I wish I would've opted for the bundle. Oops.

I finished the main game last week and must say that I loved the game. I was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was. It was like playing an old school 8-bit game from Japan. I hope a sequel or something similar is in the works.

I have this on PS4 and Vita. Although it is great on both. I love it on my Vita. I think they are working on another one. However I would be interested in seeing whatever they do next.
