Star Soldier R is the sequal off Star Soldier. A 3D verticale shooter filled with action, in which you have to destroy your enemies.

I wonder if this recycles the Gamecube remake.

Yeah those Nintendo updates last night were huge! Things are looking nice.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Seeing as I've never played the Gamecube remake, this will be good even if it is a Gamecube remake. Also isn't Soldier Blade on the VC?

EDIT:

This guy is such an idiot. Vertical and horizontal SHMUPs get the same love from me.

Same here. But I wouldn't go so far as to say the guy is an idiot. He wasn't shitting on horizontal shmups, but just said that he preferred the vertical style.  :)

This Wiiware make of Star Soldier looks sick! I only hope the music is just as kickass as the game itself!

Sorry, but I don't see your library card on the books of Ys.  Now, RETURN THEM TO ME!!!

So is this actually WiiWare or a game on disc?  WiiWare refers to the downloadable content, right?

It's for WiiWare, which is a channel to download games.

Great, I already had to move a bunch of VC games to SD card just to make room for Gate of Thunder.  This is annoying, Nintendo!

I had heard it is only going to be available for Japanese region consoles to download. Has this changed?
