What Turbo game are you currently playing?

My son loves the Ys music,

Oh yeah, it's the best of any videogame I ever played. Nothing ever topped it overall - some tracks in FF games here and there mind you, but nothing overall. I recorded the best tracks from Ys I-III to cassette and used to listen to them in the car for years BITD. Of course now with my cell and a 16 GB card, I get to have 'em all the time in MP3 form.

This reminded me, here go some amazing fan arrangements of Ys tracks you likely enjoy. They are blindingly impressive!

I'm bouncing back and forth between Ys I&II and Soul Blazer on the SNES. My son loves the Ys music, and I'm finding the unconventional battle system to be pretty fun. After Xmas I think I'm going to buy Street Fighter 2.

When you get near the end, make sure you have a few different save slots going.  I just recently screwed myself while only using one save slot and got to the end boss with no way of beating him (I don't want to give spoilers here) and no way of going back to town and preparing for the end.

Playing more Ys III.  f*ck the light statue boss. Took me like 30 minutes to beat him. I had to hide from the 5 crystals that would come out of the wall, then jump and take one swipe at a time. So annoying

I won that from a contest on magicengine some years back.  Played through it once, wasn't a lot to really do but the story seemed pretty funny from what I could gather.

I just finished part 1 of Ys. This is a great game although the back tracking in Darm Tower was a pain. Oh, the things I would have done to own this game as a kid.

Awesome game, one of the most underrated shooters IMO - Tons of action, great music and bosses. I could probably help what are you stuck on? The Boss?
