Hey SuperDeadite, would those switchers work with non-Japanese SCART RGB?  Is it active or passive?  Passive is much better because active requires electronic that can limit your signal quality.  In order for active to be good, they need to have amazing electronics with even more amazing bandwidth.

Well they are non-powered switchers.  And they have optional resistor blocks for devices with strong RGB output (arcade pcbs).  According to one very anal Japanese review, these do add a tiny bit of noise, but I haven't noticed it yet as my eyes suck.  They are specifically designed for Japan.  I don't think Euro cables would work due to voltage differences.
JP RGB doesn't require any power lines to work.  Unlike Euro which uses a variety of voltage lines for signal auto-detect.

I know, right? First time I heard one of the songs on sunteampaul's PC Engine City podcast, I was like =P~
SignofZeta: What a quintessentially PCEFX thread. Someone complains about nothing, multiple Bible-length posts discussing who's a bigger a$$hole follow. You're both pretty big a$$holes. Let's call it a tie.

Non-powered is good.  So would you say that all it is basically doing is passing the signal from one end to the output?  If that is the case, I don't see why it wouldn't work.  I suppose you could always open it up and cut the trace to the voltage pin so that doesn't cause any damage (though it shouldn't if it doesn't run through any electronics).

Yes with PCB switches off, it's straight through, full strength signals.  They are not fully wired though, only the R,G,B,S,L,R,Ground lines are connected.  And these lines are completely different pins from Euro.  So unless you
rewire the full thing I don't think it's gonna work.  You could use Euro->JP adapter cables though, tons of them on
ebay.

Monster Lair for the TG16 (arrived new! - thanks Terry!) and Christmas Nights import for the Saturn.  I was looking for some relatively cheap Saturn import to verify that the Gameshark would bypass region blocks.  It does.  Still not a huge fan of the Nights games, but now I have something to play come Christmas time!  I always play Halloween themed games on Halloween - never thought to find Christmas themed games (or other holidays for that matter - maybe I'll have to play Jumping Flash! 2 next Easter).

EDIT: I got Christmas Nights from "hit-japan" on ebay and I've got to say he is a really good seller.  I've gotten a bunch of games off him lately and they were cheap and shipped surprisingly quickly.

Stumbled across a great yard sale today.  Picked up this lot for $4!

The Millenium Falcon is in pretty rough shape, but for $2 I'm not going to complain.  It makes a nice addition to my (growing) Millenium Falcon collection:

Left-most one - I think this was a Happy Meal toy.  You pull it back and it goes.  What's kind of neat is that it has a "turbo" mode so after it goes a few feet, it really picks up speed.  The Center one is the Transformers one.  It converts into Han Solo and Chewbacca robots!  But it's hard as heck to transform so I usually leave it in spaceship mode.  The Right-most one is a little playset.  It folds open like a clamshell and contains a bunch of mini figures and tiny spaceships.
