A true gentlemen's game for the very fine Mr. BMW.

F*** YEAH!!!

Master of Monsters is awesome on the Genesis, I have the PCE version but haven't played it yet.
Awesome.  I didn't know a US version was released.  I'll have to look into it to see if the menus are the same.  That sure would help a lot! :)

...googling...

Aha, I see they also created Dai Senryaku VII.  I've got that for the Xbox.  Haven't dug into it a whole lot but I picked it up because it sounded a lot like Military Madness, which I love.  Cool!

My cousin recently returned from a trip to Japan.  When she left I jokingly mentioned on her fb page to pick me up a PC-Engine game while she was out there.

So completely unexpectedly, a package arrived in the mail today from her containing these:

Clockwise from top-left: Far East of Eden - Kabuki Den, Master of Monsters, Space Harrier, Space Battleship Yamato.  What a pleasantly unexpected surprise!  Aside from Space Harrier these games are very text heavy, so I guess this is a hint that I should give another go at learning the language (at least enough to work the menus!).

Your cousin is awesome!  Does she know anything about these games or did she pick 'em based on the cool artwork?

Just based off of the artwork. :)  She had never heard of Space Harrier before, but loved the cover artwork for it!  I don't know exactly how old she is, but I would guess he's roughly about as old as the Space Harrier HuCard is.   Digging through this stuff must have felt like looking through ancient relics for her or something.

I've found a local jackpot or 2 for LDs, hopefully I find some gems this weekend. One record store owner says he has 3 crates of all Japanese special edition LDs I can go through. The one where these are from are all nice condition and $3 so gimme a list if anyone wants me to look for something!
