Nice boxed pickups!

I honestly didn't know the Mega Drive had SCART output without requiring mod! As a long time Mega Drive fan that's big news to me. Kind of a moot point for me personally, because I don't have a SCART capable TV at the moment, but I'd be interested in seeing a comparison between the Wondermega S-Video and the Model 1 RGB output. I'm sure the RGB would be a bit sharper, but practically speaking I don't see how it could that much better than the S-Video I'm getting now, which is just so bright and crisp. But the real deal breaker is the better audio and built in Mega-CD functions, plus the look of the system. Best looking console ever made in my opinion!

I agree, the Wondermega is awesome! Don't think I'll ever own one though due to their cost, but one can dream.

Re the Mega Drive, it does indeed have native RGB output and I utilise it as its composite output is horrible. If you don't have a scart TV, you can always use a scart to component transcoder and the results are wonderful.

I took some comparison shots a while ago, to illustrate the difference between composite and RGB on a Mega Drive.

^ This is on a scart TV, RGB on the left and composite on the right. Note how much more detail comes through in RGB, especially noticeable on the shop window in the background.

On a similar topic, even the Master System has native RGB output.

You're in Japan right?  Getting an RGB TV here is extremely easy.  PM me if you want details.

It's a catalog of all the PCE games (PC Engine Hyper Catalog, Volume 6A and 6B) plus demos (Neo Nectaris was featured, for example...). Several companies released CD-ROM databases + mixed media entertainment like this (Ultrabox from Victor Musical)...

I wanted to write a "History of Console Game Demos" to determine if the PCE was the first console to offer demos. I never got anywhere. For all I know, the Nintendo FDS had demos!

I need to get me Power Drift for the PC-E.  I know it doesn't have the best reputation, but I'd love to try it.
