I love everything about Last Alert for what it is.  Well, maybe the music could be a bit better but even that is cheesy!  The fact that it is actually a very good game just makes it more fun to play through, obviously.

The very end of that line is clipped off when playing the game.  "Guy Kazama... is the only wuh" *snip*

I would love to get all of the original actors back together for a sequel.  Oh, the fun I could have with the writing!

Even the last level?  I don't understand how the game can be so insanely easy, and then when you get the last level it's insanely hard in a cheap-level-design kinda way.

Usually, yes.  IIRC sometimes it doesn't get cut off.

I don't recall the last level being challenging.

I don't recall the last level being challenging.

You have to stand exactly in the middle of the platform to avoid getting hit from the sides, and IMO the collision detection is spotty at best -- never mind the memorization-heavy bombs that are almost impossible to see.

I recall the boss being cheap as well, but it's been awhile.

The final boss is SUPER cheap. Luckily, I found that standing in the right spot will keep you from ever getting hit. If I hadn't found that, I probably never would have seen the "too-disappointingly-short-for-such-a-long-game" ending!

alot of games of the Last/Red Alert era suffered from poor voice acting.  I wouldn't hold it against them.  It's not like NES games had ANY voices or animated scenes. :)

neither did SNES......... hell nothing but TG did til sega CD, and ...... thank god Last/RedAlert didnt have that awesome low fps FMV crap sega cd had.
