New ezine - ZX Spectrum gamer
« on: October 11, 2011, 06:47:59 AM »

I've just finished issue 1 of my new Speccy fanzine/ezine.

There's probably not that many Spec-chums on this forum, but if you are interested, you can read it here.

I know very little about spectrums, 'cept what I've seen at retro gaming conventions and read about in retro gamer, but you're mags are always top quality!  So I'll be sure to take a look!

Can we request ezine topics/consoles to cover?  If so, how about some Tandy CoCo love?  ;)

Heh. If I decide to do any more, it will be Sega Master System, then Mega Drive. But I'd need to become unemployed to find the time.

I hate most spectrum games, but I love the hardware itself.  If that makes any sense.  There are some good ones though.  Shadow of the Beast for Spectrum was pretty good even if the graphics were wonky.

Speaking of, I need a spectrum again.

I'm trying to find a good condition rubber-keyed one. I want it cheap and I don't care if it works. I want to mount it side by side in a frame with a ZX80 and ZX81.

That's basically what I wanted it for... I want a Spectrum + or a 128.  Just because the hardware looks cool as hell.

Wow I was not expecting this release, nice surprise.  Ollie & Lisa I remember that one, top title :-)

A couple of my friends still develop home-brew spectrum games:

Another great piece of work Paul :)

Sheesh, talk about an innocuous comment.... who are these twats and why are they so quick to defend Steve Jobs's honor?

Some people are afraid of death and it scares them when people respond to it with humour. I wonder if anything would have been said if I made a comment while Jobs was still alive...I doubt it.

lol...he blocked and ignored me.  I am a shining example of the YouTube community! \o/.  Its ok, I have 4 more accounts.  TIME TO WAGE WAR. (on a different video. Im sure I can find more places the guy commented)

What a polesmoker.  He was probably sipping tea and touching himself to photos of the queen with Steve Jobs head photoshopped onto her.

I vote you put more Jobs comments in your spectrum magazines.  After all, it's not an Apple II magazine, so screw em.
