more tech issues from munchi...this time its my wii mote plus
« on: November 26, 2011, 07:22:25 PM »
My damn wii mote plus that came with skyward sword keeps messing up. Ill be playing with it and it will stuff recognizing motions, and i have to hold it side ways to make the little hand appear in menus. This is so lame. I have had suck bad luck with electronics lately.

To fix it i have to pop the batteries out. I'm going to give nintendo a call tomorrow and see what they say about it. But have any of you guys had this issue with wii mote plus?

the only thing i can think is the calibration is off, the wiimote plus controllers need to be calibrated unlike the original remotes.

So my wii mote plus continue to have issues today. i called nintendo and the guy i talked to was really no help at all. worse part is if it is broken, they may not be able to replace it with the skyward sword wii mote. So i decided to test some stuff myself today. Tried switching the batteries, tried putting on the little rubber cover.

Non of this stuff worked. i got pissed off and swung the wii remote really hard in my hand. After that point it has been working just fine. I'm not sure if i should just leave it, or see what else Nintendo could do for me?

this sounds like the number one possible easy fix, another would be adjusting your sensor bar and making sure the sensor bar is properly connected to the wii and working properly.

If a hard swing got things working properly, it may indeed be either a calibration issue or an internal issue in the controller.

If the controller is defective you may be able to go back to where you bought the set and return/exchange it for a new set.
