I will wait until MS changes over to real dollars instead of the retarded point system they have now.  I have having leftover points.  Also, this will be $10 or less, right?

I thought Monster World IV was already on the Wii.....I must've been mistaken.  In any case, no worries, I'll wait for a PSN release unless this ends up being forever exclusive.  The less I play my 360, the further away the RRoD will be, I don't want to have any reason to get a newer 360 if I can avoid it.  I haven't even beaten the 2 games I got the 360 for in the first place :P

Excellent series. Why no MWII (Wonder Boy 3: The Dragon's Trap/Dragon's Curse)?

Anyone who hasn't played MWIV needs to buy this.

I love the jukebox mode with the titled songs...

This looks like a very nice offering from Sega. Hopefully future retro-compilations will also have a little extra effort.

Virtually everything Wonderboy is on the Sega Ages collection for PS2, even dumb shit like Game Gear ports. This version gives you...leader boards? Whooptie doo.

I believe it is the first English version of MWIV, and that is definitely no whooptie doo. It's maybe one of the finest sidescrolling action RPG's ever made IMO, and finally English language audiences will be able to enjoy it.

keep in mind that SEGA, signed a contract with the creators of Wonder Boy series ( as they did with most of the game companies, which put them in the red ), and the deal pretty much said "all names, titles, and etc belong to them, but the world was shared. This is why when they wented with Hudson Soft ( which was the better move ), they had differnt names, and appearances.

Sega is basically using their license ( and property rights ) of the games to release these games ( as downloadable content ). The same could be said for any other current hard copy releases.

I own most of these games, and the actually hardware. So why would I need these games. Portability is not an answer.

Still don't really understand why someone would pay to emulate something.
Why not just slap a English ROM of MWIV into an emulator on the console of your choice?
Sure they are great games, but if you are going to spend money on downloadable content, I'd say it would be better spent supporting a creative indie game developer than paying a company to give you some shiny emulation front end without giving any money to the original creators. Just my opinion though! If it's a SEGA title I'll just play it on the original hardware.

I agree that I'd rather just play the actual games, but if it gives more people the opportunity to play the wonder boy series then I support it, as its one of my favorite game series. that being said if I was going to download this I would rather have it on ps3 over xbox, or even a portable system
