I have a box with 5 broken fat style ps3s in them that frustrates my wife and cats to no end.

Do you know what might be wrong with one that appears to turn on fine but I can't get video on HDMI or the AV connector?  It's not a video reset, I've tried that multiple times.

Also, do you have  BGArework station or just do this with a heat gun in your garage or something?

Is there a permanent fix to YLOD? I hear most fixes are temporary

There is 3 ways to fix it . Is to heat gun it , reflow or reballed BGA rework station . I do mostly the heat gun method tell you the truth i have big success doing it . i fix over 100 or more of them with that method and out of 3 I couldn't get it to work .

Hey ps3repair1981, I was wondering if you had any cool pics for my new forum? LMK, thanks. :P

BTW, this thread should probably be in the sales section if you are offering services for pay. Also, hand held heatguns don't reflow evenly always. Better to use a real reflow or bake station.

Yeah not sure I feel like having a heat gun used on them.

There's a guy local to me with the proper tools who did work on my old 360 for me, I think I might take them to him.

Unless!  Anyone here have a fun idea for what to do with a broken PS3?  I was thinking I could turn it into a planter or something but my creativity isn't that expansive.
