List of region free xbox360 Shmups

SO there are alot of good shmups on the 360. i dont have a 360...yet but i was thinking of picking one up t play these games. I wanted to know if you guys knew which Jap shmups were region free.

These are the region-free shmups I'm aware of. All are Japanese releases except for DoDonPachi Resurrection, in which case it's the PAL version that works with North American 360s.

Raiden 4 is out in US also. I'd also like to give a nod to Strania and Guwange, both download shmups.

No one knew. seems like it showed up on amazon 3 days before release.

The disc version of Deathsmiles IIX is region locked!

also a note that the Limited Edition release of Espgaluda II (one with the face plate) is NOT region free

cant forget that Raiden Fighters Aces has a US release and is dirt cheap (Raiden Fighters 1,2 and Jet!) also Otomedius Excellent (lol)

Yeah, I thought DeathSmiles II was region locked. There is a downloadable version of it on US XBLA though.

Ack. You guys are right. DeathSmiles II isn't region free. Also updated my post to indicate only the Black Label versions of Eschatos and Espgaluda II are region free.

I intentionally forgot about Otomedius Excellent because it's not very good

When I want to see what the region locks are on xbox360 games I look on http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-14-71-bn-49-en.html they list the version of the game and what regions the game can be played in.

its a bit like progear. None of the music stands out for me but it was ok for a cave horiz chooter hehe
