When I was 7 years old playing SMB3 at a friends house, we somehow came to believe that those flame-tailed flying bombs in world 6 would not only kill you if you let them go off, but they would also disable the NES for 3 whole days. Needless to say, whenever he came on the screen, we went apeshit. His 5 year old brother often started crying. To this day, I still freak out a little when I see that guy.
Oh yeah, how about Out of this World? Especially the first level with those one toothed worms, I hate those damn things. I did eventually finish this game though, its too bad the ending sucked so much balls.

I never could get very far in Out of this World. :p I made much better progress in Flashback, but that was ages ago and now I can't remember what kept me from completing it. I need to try to beat it one of these days.
This in Castlevania 3.The only ways I was able to pass it are cheaply using Alucard to turn into a bat, or just taking a different route entirely.

If you roll up into a ball and drop some bombs, you'll be able to find a hidden passage to Mother Brain.
