We need a meet that's not in October and close to Michigan.  I'll be in Canada for a few weeks in October

My plan is to be there.  Not sure who I can all bring with!!  hopefully some more chummers!!

we should organize some sort of camp/hotel/motel/rental for the weekend to keep gaming the night away.  I missed that from MGC this year, and heard it was rokken.

BTW- for those looking for other gaming events in the area:

March Midwest Gaming Con - Milwaukee
July- Video Game Summit - Chicago
August - GENCON -Indianapolis (HUGE E-Game arena, looking to contribute to the retro section in 2013!)

And don't forget about 'Pizza n' Games' in Central Wi... LOL Debating on whether to do it in February or Sept of 2013....

So who will be making runs to the O'hare? Out-of-towners need to pool resources to get a hotel room.

THIS IS TOO FAR AWAY.

Nonetheless, I'm going to see how much it would cost to take a train from NYC to Chicago.

If it isn't too crazy.... (I don't think I'd want to drive that far, especially with my crappy old car).

To be continued...

UPDATE: ~$100? That's good. Now to see if the dates work...

Man I wish these things were closer.  Midway to Brookfield is only 18 minutes, but the cost of the flight + hotel for one night kills my chances.  ](*,)

I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.

Great idea esteban!  I looked into going by train and it looks like round trip the train ride would only cost $217 (from Fayetteville, NC).  I might be able to swing this after all.

I see there's a little motel within walking distance to the Galloping Ghost that looks to be only $43/night.  And a bus ride from the train station to the motel is only $2.25.  Very tempting.

A...

I'm actually headed down to Gen Con tomorrow.  I always thought that would be a great place for a vintage gaming event.  Is retro gaming going on this year?
