Did we ever pick a hotel? Just looking at Google Maps - you have to go about 4 miles out to find a real, non-fleabag hotel - there's a holiday inn express and a hampton inn both within striking distance and fairly cheap.

If you guys are down with crappy motels, there are a bunch within walking distance of GG. I just tend to avoid those because i don't want to wake up with bed bugs and STDs!

Yep, my interview is on the 18th in savannah, Georgia. They are flying wife and I and we going to spend a few days there to scope out the place. If all goes well, we might be leaving Kansas. Sorry, I was really looking forward to the octurbo fest and meeting you guys. Gonna have to wait until the next meet.

Jeff, I was planning to do my usual el cheapo Red Roof Inn in Downers Grove.  Its a little further from the GGA, but its close to peeps I know, and I've stayed there before.

We are planning to go out to eat following the conclusion of the Octurbofest on Saturday night. The place has yet to be decided.

I don't think Ash and me will be staying past Saturday night. We'll be there on Friday evening though hopefully.

Opethian and I will be leaving Knoxville as early as we can Friday morning.  Its about a 9-10 hour drive... if we leave early enough, we might hit Chicago around 3-4pm and hopefully avoid some traffic.

Nectarsis and I will be rolling down late Friday night after work - only about a 1.5 - 2 hr drive; hopefully should be there 7pm-8pm ish.

I plan to fly in to ORD sometime Friday afternoon and somehow get to the Red Roof. If anyone will be traveling by the airport on Friday, I could plan my flight so-as to catch a ride but the logistics could get tricky so bus/taxi is my backup.

You'all know I'm down for a few drinks...and wings...hot wings!
