If I scratch "nobuo uematsu" into the back of my case that could potentially make it "one of a kind" and worth 50,000$

Not sure, but I think this ROM was dumped years ago. I definitely remember seeing an NES FF2 in English at least before 2002.

He's trying to sell it for $50000 with no proof, just because he says that this is the only legitimate copy of the game that exists doesn't mean it's true. Alpha sums up the situation:
