Screen on the left seems sharper, and seems to have brighter colors to me.

It looks like the image on the left has more colors or the image on the right is blurred. Also one screen is bigger then the other, a bit. I can't say for the brightness because I am sure their is a way, because brighter does not mean better. I do not know what p is but I told you all of that just by looking at it minimized.

You have to understand with Television sets back then, the minimum for videogames was 15 inches which is still used in production today. Also most people like myself have a 21" type screen, Hardware from the 1990's and back was all Analoge based, meaning the better your hardware, the better your outcome.

The best for the PCE is the Muze vision but that requires a whole bunch of things to setup.
Otherwise once again, Hardware depends on every little physical compenent that delivers the information.

The right screen is s-video recorded directly from a non modified console.  Both captures were taken using the same capture device.

That is what I was thinking, I have a capture program ( I forget the name, but it gave the option of blurr to make it look clear. This was back when I was using my computer as a television, when I had no televison. It was good.

No blur option was used.  Both sides were recorded exactly the same way using the same recording hardware.

The one on the right looks 'better' to me.  The one on the left I would say is sharper however.  But if you cover each image up one at a time, the right one just feels warmer and more real.  But I think that is a matter of taste.  The left one being sharper I think would be hard to dispute.  But then things start to look jagged the ground doesn't look a smooth and edges of things start to look pixelated.

So probably just personal choice I suppose.

Left. The left image is brighter, sharper and has more detail. The blurriness of certain objects in the right image hurts my eyes and makes it fatiguing to watch.

+1 to the above. That's how I felt when I saw the pictures in the other thread too.

They both look pretty shitty due to their tiny size and high compression.
