I remembered he had full screen pictures but apparently he uses an external SONY DSC-1024HD.

Personally, I don't think it really needs to be scaled. Might as well play it at the native resolution, even if it doesn't use the whole screen.
I have an XVGA-1Pro, but I'm not really planning to use it with my TV Game Gear once its finished.

Ran into a huge problem, went to install the board and his instructions don't cover the asic for the majesco game gear. Anyone out there think they can help out?

Yea, i'm being a dummy. i planned on contacting him anyways. currently he is going through some his rez photos i have taken of the game gear and is working on a solution.

id go over it with a scope, and find the points
once you have sync, hook it to a tv through a resistor, and start adding other signals (you will know it when you see it)

I just installed his pcb. Now my gamegear have video out. Just need a 3.5lcd to complete the mod. SMS games display in full screen. Would be nice if the gamegear games display in full screen too.

Now can anyone where to the controller pinout so that can added an external controller for player 1? The extension bus on top is for player 2.

omp on Sega16 might know, he's done a fully modded GG with the first version of this board and 2 player compatability.

I just got my board from tim as well but haven't installed it yet though.  Very nicely packed, he put the board in an anti-static bag and then packed it all well in a box so it got to me safely.  I'm in the US btw and the box he used was big enough to fit multiple boards in without any issues if you guys wanted to do a group order.

Very nice, I've been thinking on and off about making a consolized GG myself as I have two laying around, one of which needs a new cart port. However, I'd ideally stuff everything in a plastic project box as opposed to cramming everything into the GG case, as I want to have controller ports and an 8-pin DIN jack for RGB.

Yeah that's a good idea to stuff everything inside a plastic box. I'm finding the gamegear doesn't have room for an LCD mod. There is just no room to stuff the lcd's pcb. Anybody else have any ideas as to make the LCD mod fit inside the gamegear?

remove the reflector, and the board should fit fine
