torgo if you have any TVs you can bring, it would be GREATLY appreciated!

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Though I'm not a fan of LCD myself, that's perfectly fine if you're willing to bring it :) . We're gonna need a lot of TVs!

You're going to need to take lots of pictures of fat middle-aged bald guys playing Pac-Man, that stuff is always hilarious.

This is the closest pic I have for that description:

The cocktail Pac-Man cabinet was only a few cabinets away from that one actually.

What??!! Do my eyes deceive me? Or is that fellow wearing Pac Man headgear? I've never seen headgear like that, ever. No joke.

Yeah that's a Pac-Man hat alright. I saw tons of them last year, I guess some vendor was selling them. Here's another pic:

Haha f*cking awesome, thats exactly what I was talking about, he even has the classic huge FAT gut with grossly arched back combo.  Who the hell wears a black anime shirt AND black swim trunks(?) out in public?  Thats so hilarious.

You really couldn't miss that guy if you were there. I swear I couldn't look at anything without him being in the way.

Woah.  This topic is back!

The MGC was pretty rad last year, is there any information on the guests this year?  I hope Marty gives another talk this year about history, that was pretty interesting.  Too bad he only gave it because Mr. Baer couldn't make it.

If Team Fremont is coming again this year, we'll need to rig the selection so that Keranu represents LD on the gameshow instead of NASA and I.  We totally beefed the game show.  :-({|=

Is anyone else going this year?  I'm going to try to make it again this year, and I know the rest of the Crete Nerd HURD is as well.

Ninjas wear this in the summertime, it's cooler than the full-body garb.

Seriously, though, that's NOT a Pac Man hat. It's doesn't even qualify as a hat + chinstrap. I don't know what it is, but my best guess is that it is Halloweenus Maskus Pac Man.

We'll have to ask Kamino if Marty is going to make another speech, I hope he does. Marty will be there regardless though. Kamino told me that he's trying to get David Crane to come this year, which would rule! We have to get all our Activision games signed by him.

Me and NASA are definitely going again, not sure about Quintin though but we'll see. There were around four people on this board that went last year but since we're holding a Turbo Fest, we're getting a lot more from here it seems. turbo_sage hopefully I won't miss you this time ;) .

I believe the GOAT Store had them for sale.  They were all over the show, hehe.

I imagine he will again.  He's give a speach every year it has been available I believe.  I have a lot of respect for the people that get up there and do it... It takes a long time to prepare those speaches, and if nobody shows up it feels like a big waste.  The panel area will be right in the middle of the Museum Area this year instead of being tucked away in a corner as it has been in years past.

Crete as in Crete, IL?  That's not very far away from here...   8-[

Hehe, I think the general consensus is that there will be more harder questions this game show rather than easier ones...  We had actually planned the show with the thought that about every other question could be passed until a game was played, so we had like 12-ish games playable.  However, everyone seemed to be more interested in taking a guess at the questions rather than playing the games which kinda sucked.  I know TF really wanted Bonk to be played once, and it was passed over each time.  :?

About how many tables do you guys see yourselves possibly taking up?  I've been trying to get a hold of Turbo_Sage via e-mail, but no luck recently.

I figure you're going to have a Turbo/PC-Engine + TV, Turbo Duo (or just plain CD) + TV, a PC-FX + TV, and a SuperGrafx + TV.  So you should have about 4 playable systems, plus a Turbo Express perhaps.

I would also suggest bringing an extention cord and a few power strips just in case... They ran out of strips last year and we had to use a lot of our own to conpensate.  It should be better this year, but best safe than sorry. =)

If you want to go over some of the stuff, feel free to e-mail me at my safe-for-boards e-mail at mwgc_museum@yahoo.com, or PM me and I can send you my real e-mail.  I check both, however.

Later.

We are indeed from Crete, Illinois! Where are you from, if I may ask?

Not sure about the tables yet, but Dan said that they should be able to supply some tables for us. Here are the set ups we have thus far:

Turbo Grafx 16, Turbo Grafx 16 + CD, Turbo Duo, PC Engine + CD, Super Grafx (hopefully), PC-FX, at least two Turbo Expresses/PCE GTs, and maybe a PC (used for programing and game demos, unless we have a flash card to use). Each display will have it's own purpose, like one will be for five player games, another for niche titles, and another for rare goodies, etc...

Good idea, I'll be sure to bring a power strip or two.

That guy was so rockin' to the max!  I hope he comes this year.  Him, a friend and myself sat up till like 1am in the hallway outside of the main doors playing Jaguar and PCFX.  we were sitting around, and asked Dan if it was cool if we played some vids in the hallways...lol so we stole some tables and hooked up a TV and gamed!  Was truly excellent.  Too bad I didn't have an extra PCFX gamepad though- we had to take turns and watch each other play Super Power League and Zenki and a few others.

Christ- Now I REALLY can't wait till this years MGC!!!!!!  Come on June!!!!!
