I can't believe the MGC is only three months away. This year since the last MGC ended has been going by extremely fast. I imagine this year's MGC is going to be even bigger than last year's.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

We are indeed from Crete, Illinois! Where are you from, if I may ask?

I could literally throw a stone and have it end up in Crete. =P  That close.  ;)

Anyway...

I e-mailed Turbo_Sage with an early layout and a few details about your area.  He can either pass along the details to you or I can e-mail them to you directly, your choice.

The show will certainly be more packed than it was last year.  Where as the Wisconsin room was just the Museum and the panel/speaker area, this year all of the stuff in the Illinois room like the Underdog Chamber and Jagfest will be in the Wisconsin room this year, as well as a lot of other special areas like your Turbo Fest that we'll announce in the future.  The entire Illinois room is going to be made up of tournaments and other events this year.  The Olympia room (where you saw all of the arcades and vendors) should remain relatively the same.

To make this all fit we're maximizing the space in the Wisconsin room and we have a lot more tables available this year.  It should be fun...  For those that saw the museum area last year, this new layout is going to be a huge improvement.

Later.

Holy crap! That would be hilarious if you lived in UP, but I doubt that being a possibility ;) .

That would be great if either one of you could email the details to me at k3ranu@yahoo.com

If Team Fremont is coming again this year, we'll need to rig the selection so that Keranu represents LD on the gameshow instead of NASA and I.  We totally beefed the game show.  :-({|=

We'll be there, and yes, we'll be doing the game show again.
Games I Need: Bonk 3 (HuCard), Legend of Hero Tonma, Magical Chase, Soldier Blade, Super Air Zonk.

Got one to sell? PM me!

We're almost there so I'm bringing the topic back up front again :D I'll be at the MGC on Sunday the 10th!

I'm interested in the shmup tournament, I may sign up for it. I better get back in practice though, I'm not as good of a shmupper as I was 8 or 10 years ago... :P Also, I think this year I'm gonna spring for some of those wireless SNES controllers from Messiah.

Hope to see some of you there again!

I'm sure Keranu will do another write-up on it like he did last year.

Alas, I'm not going this year either.  Oh well.  :?

Keranu,

Do you still need me to bring a Super Grafx?  Just wanted to double check before packing. =)

I picked up two games since I was there last time, Grandzort and Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts), to go along with Battle Ace and Aldynes.  Let me know what you're interested in.

Later.

Yeah as far as I know, you're our best option for setting up a Super Grafx if you don't mind :) .

That Otaku Omaha thing actually looks BETTER than Midwest Classic, the only thing interesting me there is the SHMUP tournament.

Otaku Omaha doesn't have a Marty Goldberg speech, thus it is automatically not as good as MGC.

Also, there is no gay anime crap at the MGC, it is nothing but games.
