Tennokoe Bank Card Raffle
« on: January 02, 2013, 08:00:55 AM »
A New Years resolution suggestion: back up your precious save files more often!  To help out with that goal, sign up here for a chance at a Tennokoe Bank Card with case, manual, etc.

Rules:
1. Unless you're looking to trade up to a complete copy and will pass your loosey goose off to another lucky guy, don't enter if you already have one.
2. It must be kept complete; please don't enter just to harvest the case for something else.
3. Ya gotta have 150 posts by the time of the drawing, and they can't mostly be in buy/sell/raffle threads.
4. You promise to never sell it for profit, and that you'll re-raffle it if you ever want to get rid of it.
5. It must be used (however seldom) - no dust collectors!
6. I reserve the right to not include whiners, maroons, and anyone else that pisses me off.
7. A random winner will be selected on or around Jan. 27th - Holocaust Remembrance Day.

How much save data do these things hold compared to the Duo/Duo-R etc?

They hold 4 x more than a duo but you dont save directly to them. You copy your entire save data between the card and the system.
Highly useful raffle! Necro I already told you that the cup runneth over for your turbokarma!
I own 2 so no need to count me in.

[Mon 16:27] <BlueBMW> i wouldnt sell an unmolested duo hehe.  I molest the crap outta of em before they leave me

Like ope said, it saves the entire contents of the systems memory up to four times.  It doesn't let you back up specific files or even view the save slots' contents, unfortunately, but it's better than nothing.

The 27th is also Feast of Saint Angela Merici, so maybe this will commemorate... umm... feasting on save files?  Yeah, I got nothin'.

Kudos to you for this raffle, and sign me up!

I've been wanting to get one of these, because I've already filled up all of my Duo's save space.  :(

Alright, I'm in. You've convinced me with all your crazy talk of eating save files.

Like ope said, it saves the entire contents of the systems memory up to four times.  It doesn't let you back up specific files or even view the save slots' contents, unfortunately, but it's better than nothing.

I thought it did actually allow you to view the contents of each save box.  I could have sworn it allowed you to view which of the boxes you were placing back into the Duo and also you could view what was in the Duo.  It allows you to swap save boxes and replace/back them up.  It doesn't allow you to view the size of each file, which is a pretty big pain in the ass.  Having to kind of figure out the sizes of the save files on your own.  If I recall, Order of the Griffon actually let you look at each file and told you the size of the saves.

Regardless, great raffle as everyone should have one (or more) of these.  Great gesture!  :)
