Stuff I picked up at a local flea market

I ended up nabbing 6 computers, for 5 bucks each.No hard drives or ram,but cd-drives were included in all 6,one was a NEC burner infact.
They were 3 440 BX Slot 1 boards,1 VIA Slot 1 board,1 Intel 815 Pro Socket 370,and 1 VIA Apollo Pro based Socket 370 board.
Cpus were a mixed range from Pentium 550,650,Celeron 566,the one that can overclock btw,P3 866 133FSB,and so on.
Lan cards and a couple graphics cards were included.
This has left me with a huge lump of extra cases, psu, boards, drives, and cpus.Everything worked perfect,I tested each board, cpu, and psu for a hour each, took a while to do,and I tested the cd-drives for 30 mins each.
The PSUs power range from 250 watts to 300.All were brand name, like Sparkle, nothing cheap.
The cd drives were all made in 2005,except the NEC burner. The NEC is a 7700,I had 3 before, and they are very close to performance wise with the Plextors.

Included is a pic of the cases, afte rbeing stripped down. There are a couple of crappy cases there too, those are from way older comps I had broken down.

One is not in the picture,as I used that case, along with the Via Socket 370 board and P3 866 to replace my older P3 550 Slot 1 Net comp for the TV.

You should load one of those PC's up with RGB (if possible), slap in Gigs of memory, ethernet modem, 4 USB cables and load it up with emulators. And give it a name like a console. If I were you, I'd call it:

ULTIMATUM

Oh man, put a folder just for the emulator fighters (Street Fighter, KoF etc) and call it "The Ultimatum Dojo".

Bah, 440 BX boards didnt go past 768 megs of ram on average,Ive yet to find one that can. Yea for something Nebula I can use  a P3 550. That will run most of the games perfect, except a few like Galaxy Fight,Riding Hero and World Heroes games.

If I cared to use Neorage speed would be  a non-issue. Theres a few games on Mame I still like to run,but stuff like Sexy Pachinko Reaction needs more then  a 866 MHZ CPU of any type to run full speed.

I will prob set one up for emu stuff, but nothing heavy. DOS wise, that is why I picked up the AWE 64. I need to find a good vga card that supports better dos modes. I have a ATI card with Rage chip, and  a Savage Pro,but I think I want to find something better.

Games like Doom and Quake Id still play in Windows however.Dos would be used for Metal and Lace,Dragon Knight 3,Cobra Island,Silpheed,Out of this World, and others like that.
