My Neo Geo MVS controller
« on: May 05, 2013, 08:27:24 AM »
Hey I am finalizing the design of my Neo MVS pad based on a Snes 3rd party controller. Let me me know your thoughts. The colored lines in the middle is just decoration.

The controller is already painted just need to add the logo and the LED

Oh man, the SNES ASCII Pad Pro. One of my favorite controllers ever.

Here is the one I made a while back:

This is what I put together for Neo Geo connections-

I got the guy who made my CMVS and supergun to buy one black and one skeleton pad to turn into Neo Geo controllers. I bought one of each myself and after they all arrived, I swapped out the shells and buttons until I had the exact color combination I wanted. Somewhere around here, I have a couple fugly black pads with gaudy colored buttons from the leftovers.

Looks pretty cool and will certainly play much better than other Neo Geo controllers for my tastes. I'd like to see how the finished product looks. Are those colored rectangles up top turbo switches?

That looks great!

I like the big square AES controllers but I can't but think something like this would be more practical.

Hey thanks for the comments on the controller. Those are actually lights I was too lazy to add turbo switches especially since Unibios add auto fire options from the in-game menu.

I will post pics it is almost done just needs the label printed and a couple other touch ups.

I posted that in the Neo Geo forums but the consensus there is if SNK didn't make it, then it must suck lol...

That's funny, since some of SNK's Neo Geo products are so shoddy physically. :P

Yeah some liked it but others said Neo Geo pad was better. I already have a stick but honestly just wanted a second controller without spending more cash so I just made one with spare parts that I had lol
