Looks very nice, but way too slow paced and f*ck oversized ships with undersized hitboxes.

Wouldn't it make more sense to make this on the neogeo cd? I can't imagine people dropping hundreds of dollars on a homebrewn game but then again this is the neogeo we are talking about..

You get some temporary measure of piracy deterence by producing a genuine cart versus a CD that anybody can rip and upload the second it is received ?? That could be apart of the decision. Somebody with a copier could eventually come along, sure, but a cart buys you some time and that's the best that you can hope for. Other reasons, I dunno, cause you get to charge a f--kload more amount of money cause it's a cart and more easily justify it to the public ??

I think it's really awesome that these kinds of games are still being made but yeah it looks very euro and boring. I'm ok with the pink bullet danmaku formula for vert games but hori games I like to play more memory/obstacle based games like Rtype and the likes. I'd think this would look a lot better if there was more variation in the projectiles and enemies.

Same old same old.  They really have no idea how to design their own levels do they?  Just steal steal steal.  As for a Neo CD version it would be impossible.  The CD's 7mb of RAM is simply not enough to hold all that animation, it would have to load like every 30 seconds or so...

Yeah,  but aren't they releasing a DC version like they usually do?  That is the only "reasonable priced" version.  Do they sac carts for the MVS and AES?  I am sorry but for an MVS cart that is way over priced.  Half it and that would  be reasonable.

DC has more RAM, and a much faster drive, hence its possible to stream data fast enough.  You cant do that on a 1x speed drive....

To be fair to NGDev they actually do make there own PCBs, most of their games go over 1000 megabits and they had to come up with there own hardware to do it.  Just a shame the games are all quite shit sadly.

Exactly why I only buy the dc versons.

Dont get me wrong id love for my neo geo to get.more mvs love but the pricing really removes me as a customer. I get pricing and expense but this isnt their first mvs game. More like their 5-6th?  You think they could stream line or reduce cost by now.

Then resently they re released most of their previous games for MVS/AES but of course limited quantitys and in limited wooden cases to house their boards. Which analouge made for them. Yes the ones making the nt. Which dont get me wrong looked great.

I just wish ng dev would be more accommodating or at lest allow a payment plan like hot toys does for their stuff. You dont pay it off?  Then you lost out on your minium non refundable cash. Its not as thought the same item wouldnt get sold

If you need to finance a $500 purchase, you might want to rethink the purchase altogether.

If it wasnt something that was needed other companies wouldnt offer it.

If you are trying to say having the option to break up larger purcheses up as a benefit then I guess spending $500 and more is no big deal for you.

But for most it is. At lest for me.

Looks interesting but to me the best part is what they are able to get the Neo Geo to do. Looks really impressive from the trailer.

They announced it up to 6+ months in advance. Start putting away what you can afford each month in the meantime if you want to commit to buying such an expensive game.
