Talking about longbox PSX, Assault Rigs is a pretty cool game that no one really plays.  Triple Play 97 was the last sprite-based Triple Play game, so that's kind of cool.  And some good 3DO ports were long in the box, like Gex, Road Rash, and Need for Speed.

That dungeon explorer for the sega cd also is something that interest me......

Not sure if it is considered the third game in the series or something entirely different from the two original TG-16 games but there is no denying its got some purely graphics chunky spirt work which I like and remains kind of a hidden gem and hasn't risen in price yet..

In fact many great sega cd games remain to be in decent to semi decent price points as I feel not many collector activity searching for these games.

Sure you have the "popular" high dollar games like snatcher, shining force, kino?s flying squadron, and pretty much everything working designs but sonic cd, and such remain below the $40 dollar mark complete.

Earthworm Jim remains a bit higher in price as does a few others but still attainable.

Once I complete my sega cd and ps one long box list I'll then start with the sega Saturn.  I am closest to completing my sega cd list as it is under ten games where as my ps one list is much more donting all the games on my list seem to be under $40 bucks many much lower......

Sadly I feel that my only option is eBay.....I simply don't find these long box complete games and am getting tired of searching.

I think the OP really wanted to talk PSX long boxes, and this thread is (rightfully) being hijacked by the (awesome) Sega Saturn.

I will just mention the games I bought when my PSX was new...  NFL Gameday, Alien Trilogy, and NBA Shootout, since I was quite the jock back in the day.  Soon followed up by Resident Evil, which is my favorite of the long boxed games.  Psychic Detective also holds a special place because it is so...  great!

True but I did give it the wiggle room to talk about other long box games such as the Sega CD and Sega Saturn.

I have yet to really get into Saturn games as I have yet to get a system and only have two Saturn games at the moment....

The only fun Alien games I am aware of is:

The two arcade games. One based on the sequal the other a capcom AVP mash up

The AVP game for m..was it the 3D0?

Kinda sorra the AVP arcade port on the SNES. Kinda

The aliens 3 genesis games

Maybe the aliens gameboy game as I have oddly frustrated memories of playing it on long trips and getting almost hmm o where.

The Aliens infection game for the DS.

Here is hoping the upcoming suspence alien game doesnt suck balls with it tiny mouth.

Let me add: it is a good DOOM clone. Don't go expecting anything like Alien vs Predator on Jaguar or anything like that. But it is a cool atmospheric game with well thought out level design (except for the last levels which are ASS let me tell you), and is good despite some annoying bugs that get apparent in later levels.

I notice there is also a sega saturn port

Are they basically the same or one more favored then the other??

Man and here I thought my geting it for $34 dollars with a %20 store discount (at 1/2 books) was a steal...

Did this game come with a booklet?  Because I think it did and mine is missing it...
