In my opinion?

More exclusives (that aren't Sonic)
More/better indies than PS4
N64 type RAM expansion
Entire Wii Virtual Console available on Wii U eShop
More than one Nintendo game a month, or at least a guaranteed amazing game each month (no Game & Wario)
More focus/budget/maps on the Call of Duty ports (tradition must be upheld)
EA support, even if just FIFA

What do mean when you say N64 type Ram expansion? Does the Wii U require more memory for anything? I was under the impression that graphic enhancements would be limited by system design at this point (IE: GPU/CPU capabilities). I'm not sure adding memory will enhance anything on the Wii U. I suppose more memory would allow for a smoother running game, but I'm not sure that was an issue with the Wii U anyway.

Also, I'm not sure anyone would buy a Wii U for COD. If I cared about COD, I would definitely buy a PS4 or Xbone. I don't think a Wii U would even be a consideration for COD at this point. It's not really Nintendo's strength. It's a "nice to have" . It would be like putting Pikmin on the Xbone. Not sure that would draw a lot of attention from Xbone gamers. But, maybe I'm wrong.. Who knows.

I just got done a night of Blops 2 with my Son, CoD on the Wii U is actually a lot of fun, having the screen on the pad is something he loves and gives me the full TV, and we can play against each other or online that way.

Supposedly there is at least 1 Nintendo titles each month for 2015 plus some nice stuff on the way, frankly EA can still f*ck off, PeS is coming to replace fifa so soccer fans are covered, Madden is still big but people are pissed that no one else can touch the NFL, so that isn't going to last forever.

As long as they keep the software coming, plus the nice little collab here and there, I'm pefrectly happy, there is enough indie and small but stable 3rd party support to fill in the gaps.

Sad story is Xbone is selling poorly, but they still support it, it's fanboyish of the industry and I hope plenty of companies take a hit due to it.

Ubi has titles they won't sell, stupid need software to move hardware

Ea, f*ck off....idk if they blow up tomorrow, horrible company

Activision, still gives decent support, keeps COD a secret until it's out, which is dumb, small but
fun player base there.

Tecmo, decent support and partners for Hyrule warriors, hopefully they have more

Sega, Lol they haven't been good in so long, a rare gem here and there.

Capcom, who they f*ck knows, they seem hellbent on self destruction

Konami, I don't care they snuffed out Hudson them became MGS/and even farmed out Castlevania, they can DIAF

Namco, helping with Smash, who the f*ck knows what else.

Behtesda/I.D., Crytek, Epic and whoever else I might have missed...I don't care

Not understanding the Wii U hate. It's a great system. I think they should have waited until they had better titles to release the system. Seems the games are finally catching up.

Whether you like the system or not, there's no denying that it's faltering..... kinda reminds me of the "what would've helped the TG-16" threads.

Except it's not, sales here trump Xbone and double or triple PS4 sales in Japan (not saying all that much because overall sales in Japan are shit)

It's holding it's own despite the lack of the 3rd party shit...The industry is more against it than the consumer is.

Quote
The “Wii U” hardware still has a negative impact on Nintendo’s profits owing mainly to its markdown in the United States and Europe, and unit sales of software, which has high profit margins, did not grow sufficiently, leading to a gross profit of 163.2 billion yen. Total selling, general and administrative expenses exceeded gross profit, resulting in an operating loss of 46.4 billion yen.

That's Nintendo themselves blaming the Wii-U for their losses, from their last annual financial statement (their year ends in March).  The 2014 first quarter was another loss (nearly $100 million), even though Mario Kart 8 sold 2.8 million copies and pushed a few hundred thousand extra Wii-Us out the door.

It just occurred to me. I think Nintendo buying Capcom can't and won't happen. Capcom is entirely too successful and big for this to happen and I imagine they also have to have serious licensing deals with both Sony and Microsoft that can't just be negated with a Nintendo takeover. I do think the idea of a Capcom takeover by Nintendo is sound in theory. It would certainly bring several fantastic titles to their library and they would all be ones that would appeal to the actual market of gamers. Let me pose this instead: Why couldn't Nintendo take over SNK Playmore? or at the least sign exclusivity rights for release of their games and library for home release? It would appeal to Nintendo to expand their library to games for gamers and not just a "wide-ranging" family category. SNK gets Nintendo's support in making games based on their archives that folks actually want to play instead of floundering as was the case with many of their releases in the last few generations. Now I'll blow your mind. Imagine Super Smash Brothers: SNK vs Nintendo! That's a reason to buy a console, I would think.
