I can't fully express how much I loved this game back in the day and how I still love it (you'd think I'd be sick of it).

This was a tough game to 1CC, I can tell you that.

It took me years to really master this game.

Monster Lair, Final Zone II, Valis II, Last Alert and Ys I & II were the first TG-CD titles I had back in the day.

I can't recall the exact order I purchased them at the moment, but over the years, I spent the most time playing Monster Lair.

It's one of my "GO-TO" games that I always want to play.

I love Monster Lair! Hard as hell though, never got really far... But the soundtrack is criminally underrated, especially the game over music. Makes losing somewhat rewarding? Anyways, wish I could play through it this week but i'm 2 hours away from my sweet Turbo...
12 hard black inches of pure fun, the TurboGrafx 16.

I haven't really sat down with this one for long.  I will one day, but it's the least interesting to me of the Westone games since I love the metroid-esque upgrade/travel system of the other games so much.  In fact I just ripped my (sadly Japanese version) of Dynastic Hero to play through again on Magic Engine.

This is an unusual entry in the series: a forced-scrolling platform/run-n-gun + shootemup ministage and boss at the end of every stage.

Yeah, I've played a little bit.. one day I'll play through to the end.  If I don't fall in love with a game right away I have the bad habit of beating the first level boss and switching it off, just so I know what it's like.  I've got Lords of Thunder sitting here too which I've never beaten.  I just opened it like last week but that's after like 2 years of owning it!  if I had had either game back in 1992 I would have beaten them a ton of times, but now I have literally hundreds (Thanks Steam!) of games competing for my attention.
