The Twinbee Rainbow Adventure game was a lot of fun, Japan only but no Japanese needed to play this great game.

Super Valis IV was a fairly decent early platformer for the SNES/SFC and definitely worth a play, even more so if you're a Valis fan.

Mode 7 fail!

It's actually a fairly short game and not too difficult.  I didn't realize at first that the orb at the end of each level changes color, and you get a different transformation for the next stage depending on what color you pick. It also determines which ending you get (there are two).

Even non-translated it should be easy to play through, there is very little dialogue.

The final boss did take me a few tries.

From what I remember, if you take the same color each time you get an ultimate form for the final level. Also, if you don't take any color for every level, you get a different ultimate form for the final level. cool stuff.

Yep. From what I read online, you have to pick one of each color to get the ultimate "silver" form for the final stage, and the good ending. Some people stated that the three colors had to be picked in a certain order (O, G, B).

Also, if you pick the same color each time, you eventually get a powered-up version of that form (I never did this).

Playing through without transformations would definitely add a challenge, but I didn't think you could skip them.

I like Kunio kun a lot, but these games don't seem to have good translation patches.

Is the Renegade sequel (kunio is framed for a crime) playable without English?

There's two kunio beat'em ups for the snes.Shodai Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun is the follow up to renegade while Shin Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun is more like rcr.
For being playable in japanese i don't know i've only played them with the translation, through the everdrive.
