I'm chiming in and would say a slim Xbox 360 would be the way to go, preferably in matte finish to avoid fingerprints and scratches. I would not go for the current super slim Xbox 360 if you intend using the analogue outputs one day, since that model got crippled and can only display composite video besides HDMI. The regular slim, just as the fatty, can output pretty much every analogue format you want (composite, S-Video, RGB, component, VGA). Which is neat for me since I have an older 1360x768 TV screen without HDMI, and via VGA I can get the Xbox to output a pixel-perfect resolution without the need for blurry upscan from 720p or unnecessary overscan.
