PS VITA and Limited Physical Release Games
« on: June 08, 2015, 05:57:30 AM »
So here is the thing with the Vita.

It's the epitate of a nitch system to me.

I seem to be having entirely to much fun tracking down these limited physical released games it has been pumping out.

From Retro City Rampage to the Corpse Part Blood Drove to that lets get physical release of Shinobi oh and let's not forget that Fairy game.

I could be wrong but even child of light can only be found as a PS Vita physical game and now (although now PSVita exclusive) Mighty No 9 (but I preordered the WiiU port as that system as well gets almost no love).

So am I missing any other Vita only releases for physical games that are otherwise digital download only?

Anyone else but for the vita also pick up these port?  Or just say F it and get the digital version

Weren't those originally on the PS3?  I thought the PSVita ones where just re-released ports of the PS3 games.

The PSVita ones are reworked and have much better gameplay.  The first Neptunia game had some major issues, the PSV port fixed them all though and is quite solid.  Good luck finding the Limited Edition of the first Neptunia Re;Birth game for anything reasonable, Iffy screwed the pooch hard on that release.

I might have to check them out then on the Vita. I'll probably just for go any limited edition version sof most vita games that I can't still pre order lol.

But yes I was just surprised with how many games this system seems to get that are so limited on the production run.

The Vita and WiiU are going to be very nitch systems to collect for on the after market making the games a chore to find I feel.

I mean just look at Pikmin 3 for the WiiU. That game is what? A year or two old and already hard to fish since they never did more then one print run.

I think I have all the Vita LEs that have come out so far =X  It's one of my favorite systems.

I imported the physical version of Sayonara Umihara Kawase.  It came with a little ramen lid holder Umi and a mousepad from AmiAmi!

The Operation Abyss LE just came in today and it's flippin massive.  What am I going to do with this thing?

Funny this thread started the same day Operation Abyss came out too!

The box for this thing is huge, I haven't opened mine yet since it got dinged up during shipping unfortunately so I'm contacting NISA about a replacement now.

I have no idea WTF you guys are talking about. The original question that is, no clue. I know all about anime cooch.

Currently I'm playing Super Robot Wars Z3 Part 2. It's extremely good. Despite having very few new series/units on paper, much has changed since last year's game. There are loads of new attacks and what not. Very fun.

I could have downloaded it, but I bought the cart. I make the same choice pretty much always.

I feel like every Vita physical release is a limited release lol

I'm a fan of the Vita though. I like JRPGs and generally odd/weird games and it does those pretty well. When it comes to collectors editions of games, I try to avoid them. I'd like to buy them for the art books mainly but it'd put me in the hole with all of the other stuff I buy here and there. I do try to catch some of the actual limited physical releases though. Recently picked up Retro City Rampage for a decent price and I just put in an order for the htoL#NiQ limited edition, because its apparently in stock? Cheaper than a standard copy of a regular game and free shipping to Canada apparently so I hope it isn't a fluke.

If anyone wants to check it out:

Man, did NOT know about he physical release of Retro City Rampage, so I'm hunting that down.

Another game with limited release is Tale of Hearts R, it's a Gamestop exclusive.  I picked up the last one of my closest Gamestop.....having been in one of those stores in several years!
