Every time NGDEVTEAM announces a new game, some people feel the need to defend their Neo Geo pricing. It looks like they've dropped the facade of not intentionally gouging collectards.

I think that has more to do with the fact that the Dreamcast versions have all been ripped and released on the warez scene.

Is that quote in regards to Kraut Buster?  If so, bummer.

Are they not being bought?

I don't mind either way because I did not like the way it looked. It definitely looked like an inferior knock-off. Kind of like Gunlord and Turrican.

Dang, I'm getting the urge to sell my copy now.

It's better than neo xyx on dreamcast....
Even though I did buy it, I still haven't played it yet. What's so bad about it, though? Looks good, from what I see.

I love that neo games are still being made but far too expensive, especially Kraut Buster which looks bad IMHO.

I agree.  Kraut Buster looks *ok*, but unless you've played every Metal Slug game to the point of boredom, I can't see picking it up when those games are all around 10x cheaper.  I only sprung for Gunlord because I love the Turrican games and the price of Gunlord just kept going up.  I can always sell it for what I paid, although I guess you can say that about all NG:Dev releases.

Same thing that immediately happened to every PCE CD homebrew.

If DC sales were too poor, then so be it. But a better solution would be to do a smaller pressing. I find it hard to believe that they had difficulty selling 250 copies of any one DC title, unless they were asking $150 a copy.

The DC ports were actually very reasonably priced.  I originally bought Gunlord for the DC and it was somewhere around $35 shipped.  My guess is that it is a combination of DC sales (with their lower profit margin) taking away from Neo sales, or the games being released on the warez scene (does anyone even call it that anymore or did I just date myself?) taking way from Neo sales.

So make less Neo. DC > Neo anyway.

I got this bad boy in the mail today.  I have to say I am very happy with this game so far.  The weapon design and overall look of the game is definitely Turrican.  I have to say the control is better than Turrican.

I can tell this game is going to be a challenge but will be a great play.  I'm already getting good my ass kicked by some enemies that sort of blend in with the background.
