your top 5 or 10 (whatever) Genesis/ Mega Drive Games
« on: July 09, 2015, 12:09:38 PM »
Basically I haven't played a ton of Feka games. And I have a new hope of crossing a bunch of games I've never played off the list,   I really don't have time to play every game, so I'm looking to those of you who enjoy the genny/MD to help me out on which games I should definitely try.   (also just inter sting games in general)  Also if you could include the games genre too that would be a huge help to me.

Thanks in advance.
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

Some damn good titles listed here. Streets of Rage 2 and TF IV in particular.

I would add
Contra Hard Corps run and gun
Castlevania Bloodlines platformer
Zombies Ate My Neighbors run and gun
Pulseman platformer
Wonder Boy in Monster World platform/action much cheaper than Dynastic Hero

You may wish to try
Comix Zone beat em up
El Viento platformer

MUSHA is good but I can't say I'd recommend paying the going rate for it.

Too many to list! At least folks have started out with a nice bunch...

Here are some that you should consider, but only if the blurb I wrote appeals to you...
Gaiares —only if you are a hardcore shootemup fan. :)
Valis III — To see a great* game, but to see how the TG-CD is even better. Action-platformer. * Most folks wouldn't call it great. I like it, though.

Phantasy Star II — even if this genre—ARPG/RPG—normally doesn't appeal to you, you must play Phantasy Star II.

Herzog Zwei — one of the first Genesis games I had a blast playing with a friend (some battles were ridiculously awesome). Early real-time-strategy...might not be appealing to you.

thanks, so far all the games appeal to me.  I have an everdrive on the way, and want to start out my feka playing right.  I am super curious to compare valis 3 now though!  and it does seem there are more than I enough great games on the platform.

I just started playing Light Crusader, it's great! I guess it's underrated since it's by Treasure and it's not considered as good as similar games on the system like Landstalker and Beyond Oasis. I like it a lot so far.

Beyond Oasis
Castlevania Bloodlines
Contra Hard Corps
Gunstar Heroes
Mega Turrican
Outrunners
Road Rash 3
Sonic 2
Streets of Rage 2
Wonderboy in Monster World

Games that I also recommend:
Aladdin
Comix Zone
Mercs
Ranger X
Rocket Knight Adventures
Rolling Thunder 2
Shadow Dancer
Shinobi 3
Splatterhouse 2
X-men 2 Clone Wars

Sorry but the Genesis has so many awesome games I can't narrow it down.  And since you said Everdrive... well... load those puppies up.
